The most widely used and prescribed solution for Peyronie's is the vacuum pump (also known as a penis pump).
Vacuum Pump: This method has been used longer and more extensively than any other product on the market. It has been shown to improve conditions in 75%+ of the cases. However some cases are so severe a pump will cause more damage. A study launched by the National Institute of Health said a vacuum was used at 29 pounds pressure (far too high) and caused more plaque. However no one should use it that high. 15 is more than enough in my opinion.
The more common type of pump used is the VED (vacuum erection device). Doctors usually recommend the hand pump unit, although the battery powered has been prescribed before. I used the manual pump because I trust it more than a battery powered. I like my pressure to be exactly and for some reason I feel more in control when it is manual vacuum.
Most pumps are sold as "erectile dysfunction" aids. However vacuum therapy has a much wider use as Peyronie's has proven.
The concept is simple. Through regular pumping, the tissue inside will expand and case blood to flow in forcing the plaque to break down. You would think it happens fast however it can take a very long time. Also with an extreme enough curve you may not even be able to fit into the tube. The theory is sound and many doctors recommend this route for their patients. I don't think it is a BAD way to treat, I just know there are better ways now.
